Forty is a common number in the bible. The most recent war against Israel started on October 7, 2023. If one uses gematria and adds 10+7+23, it equals 40. What does 40 mean?

Forty is associated with “transition” (See Table). The Table gives many examples of forty and one can see the transition. Forty days of rain in Noah’s time, 40 days on Mount Sinai, 40 more days to redo it, 40 more days to repent, 40 days for the spies to explore Canaan, 40 years of exile, 40 weeks of pregnancy, and 40 lashes (really 39) for certain crimes. The Table describes the before and after relative to each 40, and it is always a transition.

Since the recent existential war started on a date that can be turned into 40, it suggests that we are in transition. By focusing on caring for each other now and in the future, we plan to prime the result for a great outcome. We will give God good reasons to defend us and make most (if not all) of our problems go away.
