WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US
This program to increase friendship in all synagogues is designed for all Jews, both Orthodox Jews and non-Orthodox Jews. Increasing friendship in all synagogues is a critical moral accomplishment; it is a unifying accomplishment; and it is consistent with the ways of Hashem (God). Increasing and improving friendship is approved and admired by God, by Jewish leadership and by all Jews. God created the Universe, life, man and the laws of nature. God can also alter the laws of nature when he (she) chooses to do so. Thus, the killing of the firstborn Egyptians, the drowning of the Egyptians at the Sea of Reeds and making a 90-year-old women (Sarah), in menopause, pregnant with Isaac.
Biblical Lessons on Friendship and Behavior
There are just two stories that one needs to understand that relate to behavior to bringing forth a Moshiach, and they are Abraham rescuing Lot (14:1-24) and Abraham and the three strangers (18:1-10).
The first story shows that God can help Abraham militarily defeat four very powerful kings with just 318 men. There are no barriers for God. Eighteen represents life, and 18 represents God’s help.
The second story tells how to behave to others. Despite Abraham’s pain (circumcision), despite his discomfort (hot sun) and despite the presence of God, Abraham ran and bowed down to the three strangers to encourage them to come to his tent. He helped them with water, food, rest and comfort (shade), and he did it personally, quickly and to the best of his ability.
Was God mad that Abraham ran away from him and bowed to the three strangers and took care of them? No! God admired Abraham for doing it. God thinks it is more important to take care of our fellow man than to take care of him. And God blessed two elderly people with a miracle, a son.
This miracle is not directed at Abraham but at us. God will help us with miracles when we behave like Abraham. We just need to do it!! Everyone recognizes the great benefits of friendship.

The Three-Part Program
This program is based on three independent processes:
Committee Formation
Identify five people to serve on a Committee to survey the synagogue’s membership and use common sense to develop ways to help them. The Committee needs to understand every person and take responsibility to help them.
Increase Inclusive Activities
Particularly social activities in the synagogue so more people can be included.
Continue Current Activities
Continue to do all current activities well. Many are already great, but one can always improve and start new activities if it makes sense to do so.

Learning, Growth, and Self-Improvement
We learn from each other, and we hope that people can use this website to find good ideas and help each other. The Committee is the one that is responsible for moving forward.
Self-improvement is now, and self-improvement is forever into the future. We also need to learn how to evaluate ourselves, and it should be done by the Committee, with help from the membership. It can also be done by outsiders, who may be helpful and more objective.

A Call to Begin
This is the beginning!! It is for everyone to improve this website and to help each other, now and into the future.
God will appreciate our behavior, and God will be impressed. Furthermore, after being impressed, I hope God will act decisively for us and also have good options for everyone else.
