The Membership Committee at Congregation Agudath Sholom is dedicated to fostering a warm, welcoming environment for all who seek to be part of our community. Our mission is to connect with both newcomers to Stamford and longtime residents who are still looking to find the right Shul or community. Through personal outreach, we invite individuals to explore all that our synagogue has to offer, from youth events to volunteer opportunities with our various committees.

Each year, we host a New and Prospective Member Brunch where attendees can learn about our shul’s programs, meet other members and residents, and ask questions. We encourage participation in our regular events and gatherings, as these are excellent opportunities to connect with others and experience the vibrancy of our community firsthand!

For those considering Stamford, we also offer a unique opportunity to experience Shabbat at our CAS, including attending our Shabbat morning services and  Kiddush afterwards. To deepen their experience, we host prospective members in local homes for Shabbat meals, ensuring they gain a true sense of the warmth and spirit that defines our congregation.

Despite Stamford’s growth in recent years, CAS maintains a small-town feel, where every individual is valued and welcomed. Our goal is to create a place where people from all walks of life can come together, build lasting connections, and grow in their Jewish journey.
